This documentary not only explores some of the unforgettable events in North Carolina during the 2008 presidential campaign that helped an unknown African-American senator win the White House, but the historic path carved from the post-Reconstruction Jim Crow era of the early 1900’s, through the tumultuous ‘60’s civil rights movement and beyond in North Carolina, that made 2008’s singular moment in time possible.
