2010 NCBFF
It's A Wrap!

Wilmington, NC -- Hundreds of film lovers turned out for the 2010 North Carolina Black Film Festival.  With more than 20 films, great workshops and guest filmmakers, the festival offered something for everyone.  The first place winners in each category received $500 cash awards.

We were pleased to be joined by our 2010 Distinguished Filmmaker honoree Scott Sanders. The North Carolina native's latest film, "Black Dynamite" was released by Sony Pictures in October, 2009.  We were also joined by our 2010 Emerging Filmmaker Yasmin Shiraz. She recently founded Still Eye Rise Pictures and filmed her first documentary on girl violence, Can She Be Saved?, which took Best Documentary at the festival.
