Eighth Annual Cine Noir Festival of Black Film
March 12-15, 2009

A CineMixer with Giancarlo Esposito

 Thursday, March 12, 2009

6:00 -9:00 p.m.

Join us as we pay tribute to veteran actor Giancarlo Esposito, director of "Gospel Hill," the Opening Selection of the Eighth Annual Cine Noir Festival of Black Film.  The festival runs March 12-15, 2009, at Cameron Art Museum, Wilmington, NC.

Giancarlo landed his breakout role as a college student labeled as a "wannabe" by his peers in director Spike Lee's film School Daze. Over the next four years, Esposito and Lee collaborated on three other movies: Do the Right Thing, Mo' Better Blues, and Malcolm X. He is perhaps best known for his portrayal of Agent Mike Giardello on the TV crime drama Homicide: Life on the Street.

The CineMixer will also feature local musician Grenoldo Frazier with "Soundtracks and Soul Music." Tickets are $10 and include the screening of "Gospel Hill" and a reception hosted by Ken Weeden & Associates.
